The New Media program is highly organized and structured to ensure the best possible results on behalf of our students. All listed prerequisites for each course are required. Each course is designed to assume thorough skills and experience accrued in previous New Media department courses. Prerequisite design and production skill sets are expected to be retained and applied in all assignments, which are evaluated and graded on this basis.
Waivers or concurrencies may be granted only upon submission of work produced which achieves the equivalent level expected at the end of all prerequisite courses.
This course focuses on advanced motion graphics development utilizing AfterEffects and video editing with Final Cut Pro or Premiere. The objective of this course is to design and produce highly compelling time-based graphics and typography for end-use as film/video title and credit sequences, commercials, short-form video-based stories, web banners and experimental motion graphics.
