The School of Web Design + New Media offers the following undergraduate degree programs:

Program Recommendations

We highly recommend the New Media BFA and 2nd BFA programs over the AA program. An AA degree includes less than half the BFA core classes and, consequently, an inferior depth and range of skill sets and experience to be competitive in the professional employment market. A Certificate program is also available, but is so close to the number of units required for a BFA degree that one is advised to pursue the standard BFA.

Our 2nd BFA program is recommended for those who have attained a BFA in any other major, at any institution, and wish to obtain a second BFA degree in New Media. The 2nd BFA program may be achieved in half the time required for a BFA since it requires only half the units of a first BFA degree.

We also recommend the 2nd BFA program as an alternative to students who may be interested in pursuing an MFA in New Media. The 2nd BFA program provides a wider scope of skill sets and is targeted directly at a broad range of commercial design and production qualifications in high demand by the desgn industries we serve.
